REDLAND City residents have a chance to be a volunteer during the G20 Leaders Summit in Brisbane in November.
The G20 Leaders Summit, from November 15-16, is a meeting of the world's leaders for their annual economic forum.
Volunteering will provide an opportunity to become involved in the most significant meeting of world leaders Australia has ever hosted. Up to 700 positions are available.
Expressions of interest are being sought for people to take up roles as media assistants or working on hotel information desks, accreditation desks, as well as working in areas such as transport information and load zones.
All volunteers will be trained and accredited for each role.
The G20 volunteer program is open to all Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents over 18 years (on or before July 15). Volunteers need to be available for at least six shifts between November 10 and 17.
The G20 Taskforce will work with Volunteering Queensland to deliver the volunteer program to ensure G20 volunteers have a positive and engaging experience both in the lead up to, during and post the G20 Summit.
Volunteering Queensland will provide services on behalf of the G20 Taskforce to recruit, train and communicate with volunteers in lead up to the Summit
