CHAMPION swimmer Alicia Coutts will spearhead the Redland City contingent at the Commonwealth Games, which open in Glasgow today.

She will swim three individual events in Scotland the (50 and 100-metre butterfly and 200 individual medley).
Coutts, who is currently based at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, is one of a number of local athletes competing at the games.
Also in the pool will be champion Paralympic swimmer Daniel Fox.
Fox, 22, of Cleveland, will compete in the 200m freestyle at this year's Commonwealth Games.
Making her games debut will be weightlifter Tegan Napper. She will join experienced international competitors Damon Kelly, Erika Ropati-Frost and Robert Galsworthy.
