AN INCIDENT at Ormiston College on Thursday morning has prompted the school's headmaster to email parents reminding them of child safety.
Headmaster Brett Webster said police had informed the college of suspicious activity in the area on Thursday morning.
The person of interest was moved on with no further incident.
Mr Webster said the incident was a reminder for parents to be wary of child safety, particularly during pick-up and drop-off times.
"At school today, students are again being reminded of key messages and strategies with regard to stranger safety," he wrote in the email, sent to parents on Friday afternoon.
"Of course, parents too are responsible for educating their children with regard to possible dangers and how to respond in an unsafe situation."
Police patrols will be increased in the area in the coming weeks.
Anyone who see suspicious activity in the area can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The incident is unrelated to concerns posted on social media about child safety in Victoria Point.
Police have moved to allay the fears of parents in the area.
