Six investors have expressed interest in the city’s ferry terminal developments at Cleveland and Redland Bay.
There were four expressions of interest lodged for each site with two investors making submissions for both sites.
There were also 54 inquiries about developing the sites before expressions of interest closed on Monday.
Submissions will now be reviewed against the planning scheme to ensure they include what the community wants and what is needed at both sites.
The best ones will be put on a short list and investors asked to submit detailed design plans in late September.
Mayor Karen Williams said the interest came at a time when there had been a resurgence in the bayside market after a tough five years.
“These projects mark a coming of age for this City. They will be catalysts for local job creation and economic growth. They will undoubtedly boost not only the Redlands’ but Queensland’s tourism credentials.’
