Julia Gillard will recount her days as Australia's first female PM when she is guest speaker at a Grand View Hotel literary lunch in October.
Ms Gillard is one of two high profile Australian women who will appear at the Cleveland hotel in coming months.
Journalist and and television presenter Geraldine Doogue will address the representation of women at the top levels of power in Australia when she is at the GV for a literary dinner on September 23.
Ms Doogue will discuss her book, The Climb: Conversations with Australian Women in Power.
The 7pm dinner costs $40 for GV members or $45.
Julia Gillard became Australia's 27th prime minister on June 24, 2010. She was PM for three years and three days one of the more turbulent times in Australian politics.
She will speak about those days and discuss her book, My Story, at a literary lunch on Tuesday, October 14 at noon.
The book also reflects on what it means and what it takes to be a woman leader in contemporary politics.
The lunch costs $35 for GV members or $40.
