Redlands is gaining a reputation as a methamphetamine hub after police cracked open what's believed to be a second drug trafficking racket being run out of the city.
More than 20 search warrants were executed across Redlands and as far south as northern New South Wales last week as part of Operation Mike Pangolin.
Capalaba Tactical Crime Squad charged 27 people with 315 offences during the five-month operation, including seven counts of trafficking and 229 counts of supplying dangerous drugs.
Cars, motorbikes, guns and suspected stolen property were seized during the raids, in addition to alleged quantities of methamphetamine and drug production equipment.
Two of the men charged with trafficking, a 40-year-old from Cleveland and a 52-year-old from Sheldon, were also allegedly caught with sexually explicit digital images of an underage girl.
Both fronted Cleveland Magistrates Court on Wednesday, where one of the men was granted bail.
The other defendant was remanded in custody, but is expected to make a bail application at his next appearance on October 8.
A 37-year-old Cleveland man charged with trafficking and other drug offences faced court on the same day.
At the time of publication, he was due to reappear in the same court yesterday.
Tactical Crime Unit officer Senior Sergeant Warren Piket said the raids followed months of intensive investigations across the Redlands.
"Police have caused a major disruption to the supply and distribution of dangerous drugs on Brisbane's bayside," he said.
Senior Sergeant Pickett said this week's drug raids in Thornlands and Cleveland were unrelated to raids carried out last week on a Raby Bay property and in Cleveland.
Those raids resulted in the arrests of five people, including prominent 36-year-old estate agent Ryan McCann, who was detained after facing drug trafficking charges.
