Queensland Fire and Emergency Services has raised the wildfire alert level in the Redlands amid high temperatures and low rainfall.
The alert is now at level two, which is precautionary and a reminder to stay vigilant.
There are four levels of wildfire alerts in total.
Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said the increased alert meant both the council and QFES were in a "heightened state of readiness".
"While the elevated alert status is precautionary, it is a reminder to everyone that they should remain vigilant and take steps now to ensure they are prepared should there be a fire," she said.
"This includes reviewing their bushfire plans and discussing the situation with their friends and family."
