A FEW PRE-GAME RAMBLINGS
1. Just a quick clarification for any Hawthorn fans who are a little confused: "heightened terror alert" does not refer to how you feel about the prospect of blowing back-to-back flags by losing a home preliminary final to Port Adelaide.
2. So, it's Hawthorn versus Port Adelaide with all of Footscray barracking for the Power so the Bulldogs don't have to play a Cyril-fuelled Box Hill at Docklands. My, this finals stuff can get complicated.
3. Port could do worse than make a late change and bring in that Justice Middleton who gave the Bombers what-for on Friday. There's something irresistible about a bloke who's in form at the right time of the year.
4. Even if it's just about time for Brian Lake to do something dumb, it's hard to see Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis, Roughy and all of those sensible, reliable blokes stuffing this up.
5. Surely it's time the loser was entitled to appeal to the Federal Court? That's what the kids love about the game.
