REDLANDS is set to host the Woodford Folk Festival 'small halls' tour in December, thanks to the community benefit funds of councillors Craig Ogilvie, Wendy Boglary and Lance Hewlett.
The concert will be a "hugs not drugs" benefit concert to raise money for Carly Whyte and Christine Venditti, whose Dunwich businesses were burned in a fire in September.
"We were sitting around the lunch table moaning about the influence of drugs in the community and decided we wanted to do something positive," said Cr Ogilvie.
"We hope to make this an annual event and raise money for positive opportunities for our youth," Cr Ogilvie said.
"The more people who come to the concert and get high on hugs the better."
The concert will feature Canadian rising folk-pop star musician Del Barber, who will be supported by The Mae Trio.
The concert will be on December 14 and tickets are available through the website.
