A TEAM of determined women from Bayside real estate specialists Raine & Horne Cleveland have gone above and beyond in their quest to raise funds for the fight against women's cancer.
After registering earlier this year for the 60km Walk to End Women's Cancer, the R&H Cleveland team consisting of Val Elworthy, Lisa Turner, Julie Wallace, Olivia Davison, Karen Allen and Cheryl Perry set about raising funds in support of the cause and their 60km walk, to be held on October 25-26.
Starting out with the goal of raising $10,000, the team has more than doubled their initial estimate, raising nearly $21,000. All funds raised will go towards the critical work of QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, a world leader in cancer research and one of the largest and most successful medical research institutes in Australia, as well as Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH), home of Queensland's largest Cancer Care Service.
"We've had a great response to our fundraising efforts from the local business community," Val Elworthy said.

A major fundraising night in Sharks at Victoria Point in August was a particular highlight, raising more than $10,000 in one night.
"Again we were delighted with the support we received for our fundraising evening dinner in September at CC`s Cafe in Raby Bay was a fantastic success, raising $2000 in one night.
"We can't help but thank all the businesses and individuals who have contributed to our journey," Val said.
