Stolen ATM deposited at Capalaba
Police were checking for fingerprints on a stolen ATM dumped in bush on Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road this morning.
It is believed a stolen white Honda CRV was used in the theft of the automatic teller machine in a brazen heist from a Caltex 24-hour service station on Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road at Mackenzie on October 21.
It is believed the machine was chained to the stolen vehicle by two people before it was driven out of the store.
Police said the offenders entered service station about 3.45am while a staff member was out the back.
The men were able to dislodge the machine and load it into their vehicle.
