A Wellington Point woman will walk free from custody on Friday after pleading guilty to torching the Cleveland Ambulance Station four years ago.
Brisbane District Court judge Hugh Botting sentenced Jodie-Anne La Spina, 27, to three years' imprisonment on Tuesday.
But she will be released on probation later this week after serving four years and three weeks in custody, including 20 months in a mental health facility.
La Spina pleaded guilty to two counts of arson and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Judge Botting sentenced her to three years, for torching the station, to be served concurrently with a three-year sentence for setting fire to an ambulance.
She will face a three-year probation after being found guilty of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The former Redlands College student was arrested on October 27, 2010, a day after the fire that caused a $6 million damage and repair bill and forced the demolition of the Wellington Street station.
The court heard La Spina, who was rejected as a student paramedic, stole an ambulance as part of a revenge attack on the Cleveland station, before setting it on fire and dumping it in Dundas Street West.
The new station was officially opened in September this year.
Principal investigator, Cleveland detective sergeant Graham Kershaw, speaking after court on Tuesday, said the new station was "like a phoenix rising out of the ashes".
The fire shocked ambulance officers on duty that night, including acting officer in charge at Cleveland Ambulance Station Jamie Smith.
Mr Smith was awarded an Australia Day Achievement Medallion for his role in keeping the station operating after it was gutted by the fire.
