A man in his 30s will face court next month after blowing almost six times the legal drink driving limit in a Capalaba fast food car park.
The 33-year-old pulled into the McDonalds on Old Cleveland Road just after 4am on Monday.
Police officers, who were already in the car park at the time, pulled the man over and asked for a breath test.
He returned a positive reading, and was escorted to the police station, where a second test returned a reading of 0.290.
The legal blood alcohol limit for motorists with their open licence is 0.05.
The man was charged with drink driving and is due to face Cleveland Magistrates Court on December 22.
