I recently had the pleasure of attending a parade at Carmel College where the students from the school presented more than 120 food parcels to the St Vincent de Paul Congresses within the Redlands.
What a magnificent effort this was. Imagine how many families will benefit from this selfless act over the Christmas period.
How often do we hear about the negative aspects of our youth, but here was an unheralded example of the social conscience which the younger people have when given the chance.
Congratulations to the students, staff and parents of Carmel College on your amazing generosity.
