As it celebrates 20 years in the community, the YMCA at Victoria Point has become the biggest 24/7 gym in the Redlands.
After a recent refurbishment, the ultra-modern gym facilities include more than 40 pieces of cardio equipment and a dedicated weights room.
The gym runs three studios for more than 50 fitness classes a week. These include a range of workouts for all levels of ability and fitness.
Contracted fitness instructors provide instruction in yoga, pilates, high impact interval training, indoor cycling, Muay Thai and boxing, and step and weights workouts.
Aqua aerobics operates from the Victoria Point YMCA's 25m heated pool, which is also available to members for lap swimming, family swimming and water walking. There is also a recreational pool with water features.
The introduction of 24/7 accessibility has proved popular, according to centre manager Tamara Price.
"It's helpful for shift workers, people who start work early or finish late, those who want to train for longer hours over the weekend and fly-in-fly-out workers who have irregular schedules," she said.
Child-minding facilities in the Kids Club between 8.30am and 11.10am every week day make the gym a popular option for parents.
Administration co-ordinator Christine O'Toole says the friendliness of staff is one of the aspects that members often mention as a reason for continued membership at the YMCA Victoria Point.
"At the reception we strive to learn every member's name," Christine said.
