Labor has promised it has more policy announcements up its sleeve - including on law and order - after a day when the LNP government corrected the opposition on two points.
And while the incumbent government went on the front foot by announcing its costings on Tuesday, Opposition Leader Annastacia Palaszczuk said she would leave her financials until every last announcement was made, meaning they may not be aired until the eve of Saturday's election.
The LNP revealed it would be outlaying $8.6 billion in infrastructure, based on an expectation that $37 billion will be received from long-term leases to 12 per cent of government-owned assets.
From that sum $3.4 billion is set aside to cover cost of living increases, and the remainder spent on paying down existing debt.
However Ms Palaszczuk said Labor still had more of its own own policies to be unveiled.
"Once all of our election commitments are out there, then our costings will come out," she said.
"I still have more announcements to make," she said.
She said Labor has cancelled the pay-per-view guest lunch she planned to speak at Brisbane on Wednesday.
"The whole lunch has been cancelled because I want my whole team out there focused on stopping the sale of the assets," she said.
Shadow Treasurer Curtis Pitt said Labor would ask the Productivity Commission to look at rising electricity prices.
Mr Pitt questioned whether the LNP had included in their costings money to prepare Queensland assets for sale.
"If the costing document produced by the Treasurer does not contain how much Campbell Newman is giving to investment bankers like Merrill Lynch or Macquarie, getting our assets ready for sale, then there is a black hole," Mr Pitt said.
He said based on a "one of two per cent charge" of the overall transaction cost, around $300 million should be declared.
"We think $300 million would have to spent to offload these assets as part of the biggest privatisation program in Queensland's history."
However the sum of money was confirmed by Queensland Treasurer Tim Nicholls - the LNP's first rebuff of the day.
"Advisor money is budgeted within Queensland Treasury Corporation, as it was when Labor sold assets without a mandate," a spokeswoman for Mr Nicholls said.
Labor also questioned whether the LNP was changing the guidelines for two assets, the North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation and Sunwater, to buy locally- made supplies and labor forces.
Opposition Leader Annastacia Palaszczuk accused Mr Nicholls of breaching caretaker provisions, releasing a Government Gazette on January 9, 2015 which showed changes to the purchasing policy for the two assets which the government plans to put to long-term leases.
Premier Campbell Newman announced the election on January 6, 2015.
Ms Palaszczuk said the listing in the Government Gazette breached caretaker conventions accepted by political parties.
"The caretaker convention is that no major policy should be announced during the election campaign," she said.
"What we have seen is a fundamental breach of the caretaker convention."
She said the government had made significant changes to the Local Industry Policy.
"What this means is no local jobs, less reliance on local suppliers," she said.
The caretaker breach was a second accusation rejected by Treasurer Nicholls, who said the Local Industry Policy was replaced in April 2014.
"It was replaced by the Queensland Charter for Local Content," he said.
The final change was signed off by Mr Nicholls on December 18.
"The revocation that appeared in the Government Gazette on January 9 is nothing more than tidying up a redundant provision that imposed unnecessary red-tape on government-owned businesses," Mr Nicholls said.
