Guard sits on attacker to prevent escape
A train security guard racially abused at Thorneside station sat on his alleged attacker until police arrived.
A man has been charged over the incident, allegedly sparked on a train last Monday when the security guard approached him and asked that he take his feet off the seat.
Police allege the man, who had also been drinking alcohol on the train, spat, threw wine, and shouted racial slurs at the guard, who restrained him.
The guard sat on the accused until police arrived to arrest the passenger.
He was charged with public nuisance and is due to face Cleveland Magistrates Court later this month.
