UPDATE: The French couple wanted over a dine-and-dash in Bunbury have returned to the restaurant and settled their bill.
A post on the Facebook page of Mojos Restaurant on Thursday afternoon said the couple had been sacked by the farmer who was employing them in Manjimup and sent back to Bunbury to rectify the situation.
The restaurants owners Noel Brunning and Juliana Frisina said the couple settled the account "with some embarrassment" and "are very proud to be part of such a great chase around Australia."
The pair said Australia has "dished" out justice and ensured that the small business owners got a small win because of everyone's support.
The story made national headlines with Mr Brunning appearing on morning news program Sunrise.

On Saturday night, a young French couple skipped out on their bill after enjoying their dinner.
Restaurant co-owner Noel Brunning said the couple ordered a full three course meal, cheese and some really good wine before pretending to pop outside for a quick pre-dessert smoke.
“The couple said they were farm workers and were heavily tattooed, the man had large spacers in his ears and the lady had a nose piercing,” Mr Brunning said.
The restaurant posted a message to the couple on Facebook urging them to return to the Victoria Street business to settle the bill.
Mr Brunning said while the couple are yet to be found, the level of community support has blown him away with two posts about the crime shared more than 500 times.
“It was truly heart-warming to know that our followers and many more people we don’t know felt compelled to share the post with other friends and the wider community,” he said.
“It goes to show that our community is a strong one that cares deeply about their broader neighbours and what transpires in this City.
“Those caring people are truly inspiring and we are proud to live in Bunbury with them.”
