New Zealand-born Rangi Chase never quite lived up to his potential in the NRL. The former Dragons and Tigers pivot left for England in 2009 but has since carved out a reputation as being a magician with the ball.
He added to his mystique on the weekend. Chase, who now plays for the Salford Reds Devils after five seasons with Castleford, set up four tries against Hull FC to give his team a narrow 32-28 victory. It was Salford's first victory of the Super League season
It was the assist for centre Josh Griffin's second try that captivated fans and coach alike. Chase made the initial break after dancing through the Hull defence. However, it was two plays later the magic really flowed. The ball was spun wide and Chase showed two outrageous dummies to the Hull defence before flinging the ball behind his back for Griffin to cross almost unchallenged.
It was so impressive that even the boss of rival code World Rugby (new name of International Rugby Board) Brett Gosper tweeted about it.

Salford coach Iestyn Harris heaped praise on his playmaker after the game.
"Rangi was superb and when he's in that sort of form he's world class," said Harris
"He created opportunities for himself and others round him to make the opponents nervous.
"It doesn't surprise me because I see him do it every day at training.
"He can win games and he did exactly that tonight. He has a great work ethic and stopped a couple of tries as well."
It's not the first time Chase has wowed Super League audiences. In a match for Castleford against Catalans in 2013, the pivot passed the ball to himself to confuse two defenders and leave room for a sideline run. The move did not result in a try on that occasion, but it was a portend of things tom come.
