Taskforce Maxima on Friday closed down an alleged drug trafficking network involved in the supply of dangerous drugs.
A Russell Island address was included among 10 residential premises across south-east Queensland at which search warrants were executed.
A 24-year-old Russell Island man was charged with a number of drug offences and possession of utensils.
He will appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 31.
Search warrants were also executed in Wynnum, Carina, Bulimba, Hawthorne, Coopers Plains, Eagleby, Teneriffe, Bowen Hills and Oxley.
Following the raids, investigators charged 17 people with more than 110 offences.
The tactical operation specifically targeted a network of drug suppliers with identified links to the Bandidos Criminal Motorcycle Gang and allegedly involved in the supply and production of illicit substances, specifically cocaine, ‘ice’ methylamphetamines, ecstasy, cannabis and steroids.
Acting Detective Inspector Mark Andrews, of Taskforce Maxima, said the tactical action, culminating in the arrests of members of the criminal organisation, was the successful outcome of a complex and difficult six-month covert investigation.
