WE had our home broken into recently and the vandals sprayed our walls. photos, TV. wall units. lounge chairs, dining chairs and carpet with tomato sauce, ginger ale, mouthwash, olives, potato salad, coleslaw and broke more than a dozen eggs into the mix including my wife's recipe books.
They left the refrigerator and freezer open, upended every drawer and pulled out everything from the wardrobes in the bedrooms and the linen cupboard.
Believe me, the home was totally secured.
Our security doors are permanently locked, even when we are home.
All this happened in the middle of the day.
At first, I felt anger and could have really hurt them, but after a while I started to feel sorry for them.
Why would they do this?
They must have no home life, no decent friends, just an existence.
We are not traumatised by the event, just got in and cleaned up the place, but fear nor, we believe in karma.
Whatever you do will come back at you.
Remember what you have done to others when it happens.
