THE Palaszczuk state government has selected its committee structure awarding Redlands MP Matt McEachan two roles.
Mr McEachan, a first-term MP, will sit on the Communities, Disability Services and Domestic and Family Violence Committee headed by Leanne Donaldson.
He will also be on the committee governing ethical matters along with Cleveland MP Mark Robinson, Mark Ryan, Nikki Boyd, Glen Elmes and Jim Maddern.
Capalaba MP Don Brown has been appointed to the Utilities, Science and Innovation Committee headed by Shane King.
Named members will receive an extra $23,000 and chairs an extra $58,000.
The committees were announced on the weekend with the exception of the Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Commission, formerly held by Capalaba MP Steve Davies.
Peter Russo has been named as chairman for the PCCC but only in an acting capacity until both major parties agree on the chair.
It is understood former deputy premier Jeff Seeney was nominated by the LNP as their pick to chair the committee, which Labor rejected.
