Thornlands shooter Geoff Grosskreutz is in the best form of his shooting career spanning almost 40 years.
Geoff shot 40 out of 40 bulls for a possible 200 score to win the Metropolitan District Champion of Champions trophy at Belmont Rifle Range.
He then revelled in the rain last weekend to take out the overall Queensland Rifle Association Champion of Champions titles in both the Open and Veterans categories, missing just a single bullseye for a score of 199 over four ranges.
Geoff rounded off a successful weekend in the 20-shooter City team which defeated Country with an aggregate score of 2833 to 2816 over a rain-shortened three ranges.
Geoff is a member of the Australian team that will compete at Bisley in the UK later this year.
