Hockey is taking over in the Redlands, and it's not too late to get involved in the fun.
For the past few months, the Redlands Hockey Association (RHA) has been running come and try programs for children (Hook in2 Hockey), as well as working with local schools.
The demand generated by these programs has prompted the RHA to extend its sign-on period. Registrations for the 2015 season across all age groups will be accepted until mid-April.
On Thursday, April 2 from 3.30pm-5pm, all children who have been involved in Hook in2 Hockey will gather at Henry Ziegenfusz Park, Fitzroy Street in Cleveland, for a carnival to celebrate the end the program. They will have an opportunity to sign on for the 2015 season on this day as well.
The RHA is hosting the Under 13 Girls State Championships, from June 28 to July 1 this year.
More than 30 teams from across Queensland will descend on the Redlands for this four-day event, which will be a wonderful opportunity for the Redlands community to benefit from this influx of visitors as well as showcase what the Redlands has to offer.
