The Russell Island Junior Rugby League Football Club, the Stingrays, have started the 2015 season with a well- balanced group of committee members and volunteers.
Christine McGlinn is secretary and Ed Lewis head of the club personnel. Other committee members are registrar Donna Televska, treasurer Sharon Priestley, Georgina Roarty and media representative Tom Grace.
Backing head coach Ed Lewis are the coaching crew of Lee Bruce, John McKean, Ryan Roarty, Peter Faneco, Dale Wilmott, Damien Popp and Michael Darby.
Team managers are Christine McGlinn, Donna Talevska, Rose Leftwich and Samantha Wesley, and sports trainers are Lyn Bruce and Georgina Roarty.
Club referees are Lauchlan Bruce, twins Rewiri and Werahiko Peihopa. Canteen manager is William Baker, with assistant Holly Roarty. The club photographer is Karen Faneco.
State and federal MPs Matt McEachan and Andrew Laming are club patrons. The Stingrays is a family oriented club with a host of good sponsors.

This Saturday the Stingray Under 8 team will play a curtain raiser at 4.15pm before the Intrust Super Cup Game, Wynnum Manly Seagulls vs Sunshine Coast Falcons at Pinklands Oval.
The club's next home games are on April 26 at Stingray Park, Russell Island.
