Memorial honours sacrifice by animals
Redlands RSL Sub-Branch will dedicate its new War Animal Memorial in a ceremony at Anzac Park, Passage Street, Cleveland at 10am on Wednesday, April 22.
Redlands RSL president Allan Harcourt said the memorial was installed to honour all Australian animals that had served the nation in times of conflict.
Attending the service will be Army war dogs and handlers, RAAF guard dogs, Army 8/9 RAR mascot Stan the Ram, and other service animals.
