A man was taken to Redland Hospital suffering smoke inhalation after being rescued from his burning boat near Weinam Creek, Redland Bay on Monday morning.
He was the only person on board.
Fire crews aboard a Redland Bay Coast Guard boat pulled alongside to fight the fire that engulfed the boat just before 10am.
The police barge also joined the rescue as fire fighters used foam to extinguish the fire which badly damaged the cabin area of the boat.
The boat was located just out from the rock wall at the entrance to Weinam Creek when the fire broke out.
The man is in a stable condition at Redland Hospital.
