War widows of the Redlands were honoured in a special tribute dinner at Redlands RSL on Monday night. The dinner, which led into this week's events commemoratng the Centenary of Anzac, was attended by more than 300 veterans, guests and dignitaries. It paid homage to the war widows who were piped into the club's dining room to the applause of the dinner attendees.
Hosting the dinner was the RSL president Alan Harcourt and general manager Peter Harrison who expressed their delight at the success of the function. The club was adorned with war memorabilia and guests were entertained by an Andrews Sisters tribute show, which performed all the war time favourites.
