Three Birkdale men have been charged with weapons offences after the police anti-bikie squad seized guns, ammunition and Nazi paraphernalia during a raid in the suburb.
Taskforce Maxima and South Brisbane District officers executed a search warrant on Friday night and early Saturday morning at a Spoonbill Street property.
They allegedly found a rifle, handgun and ammunition buried in the yard, as well as plywood targets on the property.
Cannabis, drug utensils, Nazi and Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang supporter paraphernalia were also allegedly uncovered.
The type of pro-Nazi material seized has not yet been released.
Two Birkdale men, aged 41 and 31, were arrested and charged with two counts each of unlawful possession of a weapon, and one count each of unlawful possession of explosives (ammunition) and dangerous conduct with a weapon.
Another 41-year-old man from Birkdale was charged with the same offences, as well as one count of possession of drug utensils.
They will face Brisbane Magistrates Court at a later date.
A 31-year-old Birkdale woman was issued with a notice to appear on three charges of possession of a thing used in a drug offence, two counts of possession of a drug utensil and one count of possession of a dangerous drug.
The arrests happened after police "located a man and woman yesterday on an unrelated matter". An investigation then began into allegations the pair were holding target practice in a suburban backyard.
Task Force Maxima Detective Inspector Brendan Smith said the alleged behaviour of the accused could have led to deaths.
“It is concerning that people with this type of ideology have possession of weapons," he said.
"Our investigations will continue into the weapons origins and possible links to other offences."
