Andrew Fifita is barely in the room, while Aaron Woods is dominating conversations with his love of wrestling. Fifita, Woods and David Klemmer have joined together for perhaps the most intriguing of room combinations in NSW camp. The three front-rowers are spread across the two storey, three bedroom pad at the Blues Coffs Harbour base.
"We talk about everything and anything," Woods said. So, politics and the global economy?
"Ahh," Woods said. "Nah not really that stuff. Footy, wrestling. Funny stuff on Facebook that we show each other. I'm a big WWE fan. The other two probably not, but I just keep crapping on to them about it.
"At times it's loud. Fifita is hardly ever there. He is off in other rooms, hanging with other people.
"We give Fifita the room upstairs because he is the loud one. Me and Klem are quiet downstairs. We catch up in the lounge room.
"If there is something to talk about, it gets pretty weird and there is lots of stupid stuff [said].
"We talk other stuff but I can't probably mention that."
Michael Jennings' room has become the "go to" for Blues players, who like to huddle around the gaming console. Last year it was Tony Williams who dominated the FIFA PlayStation challenges but according to Woods there is yet to be a clear winner. Jennings is sharing with Josh Dugan and Daniel Tupou while forwards Ryan Hoffman, James Tamou and Beau Scott also have a room together. Boyd Cordner and Matt Moylan are sharing as are Ryan James and Tyson Frizell.
Skipper Robbie Farah has his own room while Trent Merrin and Josh Jackson are in together.
Even Woods can see the bizarreness in his room mix – including their on-field roles.
"It's not strange for us but it would probably be strange for people looking on the outside," Woods said. "I love it. I reckon it's awesome.
"It's a different bunch of dudes to room with but in saying that it's really good fun. Fifita is really really loud. Klemmer and I are pretty similar but Fifita does things other front-rowers can't do. That [solo] try against the Warriors [recently] was ridiculous. It's good to see how other blokes prepare for games."
The trio are no strangers to each other. They played together for City last year, where Klemmer and Woods roomed. Klemmer and Woods were also roommates when they made their Test debut during last year's Four-Nations. Woods and Fifita also played together at the Tigers before Fifita's switch to Cronulla.
Fifita is known for his high energy.
"You've got to know how to take [Fifita]," Woods said. "I played 20s and first grade with him so I know how to take big 'Fiffy'. If you don't know him he can come as a bit of a shock to you. He is a pretty loud guy. He does have a time when he does switch off and it's probably back in the rooms."
