The report of Jeremy Cameron for forceful front-on contact on Adelaide's Kyle Cheney was one of the few blemishes as Greater Western Sydney notched a sixth win, broke their duck against the Crows and celebrated three wins on the trot for the first time.
Sitting comfortably in the top four after eight rounds, the Giants face a nervous wait after their spearhead's number was taken following a clumsy first-quarter incident at Spotless Stadium.
Cameron made high contact with Cheney as both players were scrambling for the footy about 30 metres out from goal. Cheney had his head over ball at the time of contact and the Giant's defence will not be helped by the fact he seemingly had another option instead of colliding with the Crow.

Giants coach Leon Cameron was pleased with the 24-point win and said it was a sign of the team's maturity that his charges managed to hang on and win even after they lost some of the momentum.
He was pleased with his side's work rate for the majority of the game.
"They're competitors," he said. "They're starting to build a really good base in terms of resilience and being able to stay in the match.
"We've still got a way to go. At some times throughout the match we lost control of a couple of things, whether it be stoppages, whether it be inside-50s, poor choices, whether it be our goalkicking - we lost control and Adelaide pounced on that.
"But one thing's for sure, this time two years ago, when we did lose control then their heads would hang and it was tough for them to get back up. But now it's one of those traits they're starting to build and believe, that they're still in any game."
Remarkably, the Giants had lost all five previous meetings against the Crows by an average margin of 87 points.
"When you're sitting at eight rounds, six and two, yeah, you'd take it any day of the week," Cameron said.
"We acknowledge we're playing some good footy, we've played some good opposition and we're starting to believe that we can compete against most sides."
The Giants are not the only team eagerly awaiting the verdicts of the AFL's match review panel after a late hit from West Coast Eagle Elliot Yeo on Saint Jimmy Webster at Etihad Stadium on Saturday could also to lead to a suspension.
Yeo arrived late as he aimed to spoil Webster in a marking contest during the second quarter against the Eagles. There were similarities with Hawk Jordan Lewis' recent hit on North Melbourne's Todd Goldstein which led to the Hawthorn player receiving a two-week ban.
Webster first left the ground bleeding from the nose, before returning for a stage in the second term. However shortly after that incident he copped a head knock in a collision with teammate Sean Dempster.
When the teams arrived after half-time, St Kilda substitute Blake Acres was no longer wearing the green vest. Webster had been made the concussion substitute, and soon after was given the red vest.
