REDLANDS-based Bentham foundation plans to help rebuild schools and orphanages wrecked during April's 7.8-magnitude earthquake that rocked Nepal.
The foundation said it would work with non-government organisations already in disaster-stricken areas of the country.
Mick Bentham, who runs the foundation, has joined forces with Cleveland Museum, and will host a dinner in June to raise money for the venture.
Mr Bentham has a long-standing association with Nepal and his charitable work in the land-locked mountain state earned him the title of this year's Redland Citizen of the Year.
His foundation runs two hostels in Nepal accommodating, feeding and educating 102 children, some orphans, some from deprived families.
The dinner on June 1 will be held at the Redlands Museum in Smith Street and will be hosted by swimming champion Duncan Armstrong.
Guests will be treated to a traditional three-course Nepali meal, Nepalese dancers, raffles and a live auction.
Fundraiser tickets for the dinner are $65 and tables of 10 can be purchased for $600.
All funds from tickets and auction sales will be invested in buildings repairs.
