SIRROMET Winery at Mount Cotton will soon be home to the first Supa Golf range in Queensland after construction on the nine-hole course started last week.
In partnership with Supa Golf Australia, the site, which will cover 80,000 square metres, is located adjacent to the winery entry off Mount Cotton Road.
Supa Golf is a modified form of golf with oversized clubs and bigger golf balls, designed to be easier to play than the traditional game and making it more enjoyable and appealing to a broader audience.
Suitable for ages six and over, the course will have a walking distance of about 100m between holes, allowing players to complete the nine holes in less than one hour.
Sirromet owner Terry Morris said he was excited to add to the attractions already on offer and to introduce the "fun, family-friendly activity for the first time in Queensland".
Construction is expected to be finished by late September, with a grand opening planned for early October.
