CLEVELAND swimmer Daniel Fox has spent the winter months training in the UK after competing in the World Championships in Glasgow and participating in National Paralympic Day in London.
At the World Championships in June, he was the second fastest qualifier in his pet event, the 200m freestyle, but came fourth in the final.
Although devastated, Fox said he was back in training and was ready to rectify any issues well in advance of the Rio Olympics next year.
Fox, who has an intellectual impairment, raced as a special guest at the National Paralympic Day in London.
He said he enjoyed being back in the same pool he competed in at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Unfortunately, he was beaten by a British swimmer in his 200m freestyle event but mum Julie said he was "a great sport", congratulating the UK swimmer.
"He said he was very happy for him to have been the one to win but it won't be happening again," Julie said.
The National Paralympic Day on July 26 in London was to relive the magic of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
