Redland City Bulletin inaugural editor Jeff Freak has left Fairfax Media to pursue other writing interests. Jeff began his newspaper career at the Glen Innes Examiner in 1966 and followed with an extensive career in media.
He has worked as editor of Tamworth’s Northern Daily Leader, group editor for The Armidale Express, Inverell Times and Glen Innes Examiner, chief sub-editor at The Land, in Sydney, production editor of Queensland Country Life at Ormiston and other newspapers across Queensland and NSW. He has been associated with the Redlands-based community newspapers for 15 years.
Redland City Bulletin editor since September, 2014, Jeff said it was an honour to have been part of the local media and to lead the newspaper into a new era of championing the community.
“Thank you to everyone I have had the pleasure to work with. Redland City is a premier place to live and I hope to continue seeing it managed responsibly,” he said.
