Japanese runner Yuki Kawauchi has won back-to-back marathons after crossing the line first in the 41st annual Chevron City to Surf for Activ on Sunday. He broke the tape at about two hours and 16 minutes.
Last year, he set a new course record when he crossed in two hours, 12 minutes and 55 seconds.

Magda Karimali-Poulos was the first woman to complete the testing 42-kilometre event in two hours and 58 minutes.
The traditional 12-kilometre event was won by Roberto Busi in 37 minutes and 52 seconds while Linda Spencer was the first woman home on 43 minutes and five seconds.
Organisers have been contacted for confirmed times and other results.
The Chevron City to Surf for Activ is the second largest officially timed race in the southern hemisphere and attracts some 50,000 participants. Complementary events were launched in Karratha, Geraldton, Albany and Busselton in 2013.
The event has evolved over the years and the carnival now includes a marathon, half marathon, 12 kilometre run/walk and four kilometre run/walk/wheelchair.
The first City to Surf was held on in February 1975 and attracted some 500 participants in the inaugural 12-kilometre event.
In 1984, Ray Boyd won the first of his 11 City to Surf events spanning 12 years.
And in 2011, members of an army team pushed an Howitzer field gun weighing 2829 kilograms along the 12-kilometre course.
