Daniel Wells' chances of making a late-season return to the North Melbourne side will become clearer after he has scans on Monday.
Wells, who is in a long road back from an Achilles injury, sat out the final quarter of a VFL match on Saturday.
He had limped from the ground during the third quarter, complaining of pain in his calf.
Wells was playing his third VFL match in a row, having not featured in the senior team since round two.
The 30-year-old made a late return to the Roos' side last season, playing in the club's three finals after missing most of the season with a bad foot injury.
