FOUR Redland councillors will hold a meeting to explain the draft City Plan before public consultation closes next week.
Councillors Craig Ogilvie, Lance Hewlett, Paul Bishop and wendy Boglary will answer questions and explain planning laws at at Ormiston Softball Hall on Sunday.
The councillors failed in their bid to get the deadline for consultation extended past November 27.
"People still haven't got their heads around the impacts and what the plan is about," said Cr Boglary.
"We hope people take this opportunity to come along and write a submission if they wish.
"It's no good six years down the track saying you're upset which happened after the 2006 planning scheme.
"Council has had stands but no hall meetings where longer conversations can happen.
"It's important people understand how the city plan is arrived at and who makes the decisions and how they will affect their lives."
