REDLAND City Council will install its fourth chief financial officer in four years after Linet Batz resigned in December.
Acting chief executive Nick Clarke said Ms Batz left to pursue new opportunities.
Council chief executive Bill Lyon appointed Ms Batz in May 2014 to replace Gavin Holdway, who left that year after replacing Martin Drydale, who had been in the position for two years.
Ms Batz, who lives in Cleveland, took up her position a week before the council delivered its 2014-15 Budget.
The role has been filled on an acting basis since December and will continue until a permanent replacement is found.
Mr Clarke said the vacancy would have no impact on next year’s Budget or the day-to-day operations of council.
The mayor will have a choice in selecting the next CFO, along with a panel of chief executive officer; the chairperson of the fiance committee and possibly the deputy mayor.
