Carlton have suffered a blow ahead of Sunday afternoon's match against Essendon, with rising Carlton midfielder Patrick Cripps ruled out with calf tightness.
Cripps has been replaced in the selected team by Simon White.
The Blues are buoyant after beating Fremantle on the road while the Bombers were trampled on by Collingwood last Monday. The MCG clash lacks blockbuster quality on account of the traditional rivals both being in the bottom four on the ladder.
The Bombers will line up as selected.
