A 26-YEAR-OLD Canadian woman has died after falling from a balcony on North Stradbroke Island on Saturday.
Officer-in-charge at Dunwich Police Station Sergeant Peter Twort said the woman died on Tuesday after suffering serious injuries during the fall.
Sgt Twort said there is no evidence of any foul play.
“It appears that this was a tragic accident,” he said.
The woman lost her balance before falling from the six metre high balcony of a Point Lookout house about 8.30pm on Saturday.
She was airlifted from the island and admitted to intensive care at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Sgt Twort said the Canadian national had been in Australia, based on the Gold Coast, for a number of months on a working visa.
