Applications are being taken for this year’s DramaFest, being staged at the Redland Performing Arts Centre with day and evening performances on August 19 and 20.
The dates may be extended if a flood of entries come in, with entries due by July 22.
The festival is a chance for community theatre groups from all over south-east Queensland to perform on stage in what promises to be a smorgasbord of short plays.
This year’s adjudicator is stage, film and television actor and drama teacher Karen Crone.
”Karen is an absolute gem with a theatre pedigree as long as your leg, if you have long legs. DramaFest is a program that includes something for every taste,” Coordinator Jan Nary said.
Tickets are available at the door prior to each session at $5 with children under five years admitted for free. One ticket offers entry to all sessions. Enquiries to 3829 8131 or phone Jan Nary on 0429 898 328.
