Spoiler alert: Queensland are going to win the 2016 Origin series. Well, that's if it was based on Ultimate League numbers.
After 11 rounds of the NRL, the Queensland 17 have outscored the NSW 17, 7470 to 6512.
On average that's an extra five points per player every week.
Queensland captain Cameron Smith leads the way with the most points (750) and best average (68).
In an ominous sign for the future, fellow Queenslanders and potential future Maroons Jake Friend (714) and Ben Hunt (627) are second and third overall.
Remarkably Queensland dominate NSW in five of the six position categories – and not just the players in the Origin team.
Kiwi Jordan Rapana leads the fullback/wing category closely followed by a trio of Queenslanders in Greg Inglis, Michael Morgan and Cameron Munster. Blues centre Josh Dugan rounds out the top five.
In the centre category, duel position players Rapana and Munster are in the top three but another Queenslander Moses Mbye dominates the category with 552 points. Blues centres Dugan (fifth) and Michael Jennings (10th) do rank higher than Maroons centre Justin O'Neill (19th).
Queensland dominate the halves position with Ben Hunt (1st), Mbye (third), Anthony Milford (fourth), Corey Norman (fifth) and Johnathan Thurston (sixth) leading the way. Cooper Cronk (13th) also just shades Blues five eighth James Maloney (14th). NSW will take solace in knowing Adam Reynolds average of 56 places him second in the category.
In the second row battle Paul Gallen and Boyd Cordner's averages have them one and two overall but their limited game time sees them slide down the overall rankings. Another New South Welshman has that honour in Ryan James who leads some of Ultimate League loyalty with a total of 585. Queenslanders Matt Gillett (third), Aidan Guerra (13th) and Corey Parker (16th) are not far behind in the hotly contested category.
Up front it is a split decision with Smith averaging 20 more than NSW rake Robbie Farah in the hooker contest and Blues' hardman Andrew Fifita outscoring the Maroons bookends Matt Scott and Nate Myles by 245 points in the front row category.
What does it all add up to? We will find out on Wednesday when numbers go out the window and replaced by something that can't be measured: heart and determination.
