I did. I went with my cuzzy to a trial in Melbourne. I had no interest in playing, I didn't know the rules. We did some speed work and after that they asked me to go to Canberra with the senior squad and it went from there.
You've got a Fijian background. Thoughts on the Hayne Plane?
I know he's had a lot of good and bad things said about him but I think he's an amazing athlete. I really respect what he does. A lot of Fijians are naturally blessed athletically.
There is so much talent over there. I see him with the Fijian boys and they love him. Most of the negative stuff is coming from Australians. If you ask Fijians what they think of him, they love him. I know all my cousins and family do.
I also hear you're the fastest woman in rugby.
I don't know. I haven't been timed for the hundred metres since I was 19, when I last raced.

It's true! I feel very bad about it. I was in Balmain and couldn't get there. My hair is my priority. You need to look good at all times. I can't run fast with an afro – it will catch too much in the air.
