A Redland-based education program which provides crucial social networks for children with special needs is asking for financial support.
Redlands not-for-profit organisation Play List Group needs $25,000 to keep its Cubby Club running for another year.
The Cubby Club holds weekly sessions, every Saturday during school term, for children aged up to 13.
It also runs a school holiday program.
Its founder, Alex Shaw, said 40 children each year used the program, which gave their families a few hours of much-needed downtime.
Cubby Club, which was set up a year ago, helps children with disabilities to form friendships outside school in a safe and supportive environment.
Part of the fun is music therapy, water activities, and visits from guests including local police and firies.
Mrs Shaw said any level of sponsorship would be gratefully accepted by the Birkdale-based program.
Play List Group provides crisis and emergency funding for adults and children with Autism, intellectual and/or physical disability who are, or are at risk of becoming, homeless and desperately need emergency accommodation.
