STRADDIE artist Craig Tapp will use natural coloured sands from Quandamooka to create a display at the Out of the Box Festival in South Bank.
The Aboriginal artist will use coloured sand and shells to create a new design each day, starting on Saturday, June 25.
The work, titled Snow, will tell stories of Quandamooka animals as part of a snowscape history of the Moreton Bay region.
He said the theme of the work was based on imagining what things were like during the Ice Age.
The event will be on at the Piazza in South Bank from 9am until 4.30pm from Saturday, June 25 until Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
There is no charge to attend.
Out of the Box is held at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and aims to showcase art and culture for children eight years and under.
A large number of activities take place at venues across the Cultural Precinct.
