AVEO's Cleveland Gardens at Ormiston was alive with activity when residents held their annual Charity Fair in June.
Village coordinator Lee Smallwood said the event was one of the biggest trash and treasure markets in Cleveland, and raised $8124 for Star Community Transport and North Stradbroke Island Rural Fire Brigade.
"Wisteria Community Centre was packed with all sorts of goodies for sale," Ms Smallwood said.
"Cleveland Gardens cooks worked all year round to provide a wonderful craft stall and baked up a storm with their cakes, jams and pickles.
"It took six months of tender, loving care for residents to have a range of plants ready for sale. Devonshire teas and a sausage sizzle helped feed the troops," Ms Smallwood said.
This year, the money will be divided between Star Community Transport, driven by volunteers, and North Stradbroke Island Rural Fire Brigade.
Both charities were represented at the event and both were extremely grateful
