ADELAIDE
Rags to riches: The question in the pre-season was how the Adelaide midfield would operate without Patrick Dangerfield and who would benefit most. The answer now is Rory Sloane, who had another superb game against North Melbourne with 139 points. Matt Crouch and Rory Atkins may be a close second and third for those who benefited.
BRISBANE
Loose cannon: If the chances of winning the lottery were slim, it's probably even more likely to predict what Pearce Hanley will score. There was a 105-point discrepancy between his round 13 and 14 scores.
CARLTON
Ramifications: If Tom Mitchell does find his way to Carlton next year, Ed Curnow will not come close to averaging the 102.3 that he is now. We can still enjoy this season nonetheless.
COLLINGWOOD
Outside looking in: If Brayden Maynard and Josh Smith can continue their rise as AFL footballers and by extension, competent fantasy scorers, Jackson Ramsey's early season feats will mean nothing come the 2017 pre-season.
ESSENDON
Surprise packet: In the likelihood that Adam Cooney sustains his current scoring rate, a five-round average of 96.8, he has a strong case towards being the pick-up of the season. Or at the bare minimum, best value pick after being taken in just 59 per cent of drafts.
FREMANTLE
Best of a bad situation: If Fremantle's bye were to fall in round 13 or 14, coaches would be without Michael Barlow for five weeks in the lead-up to Ultimate Footy finals. With their bye falling in round 15, it's oddly convenient.
GEELONG
Under-appreciated: There is one player who doesn't get the plaudits for his efforts, and it's Corey Enright. Retirement was imminent last year, but he's once again produced a healthy averaged of 86, to little fanfare.
GOLD COAST
Lotto: If Gold Coast's ruck department couldn't get any more confusing, Dan Currie has been struck with a hand injury, leaving him redundant in Ultimate Footy for the near future. Tom Nicholls, who was the least favoured option six weeks ago, will now face no competition and will continue on his five-round average of 90.3.
GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY
Losing out: If it's time to consider possible position changes and retentions for 2017, we can all but rule out Ryan Griffen in keeping his B/C from this season. After lining up across halfback in 2015, the emergence of Zac Williams and Nathan Wilson has released Griffen back into the midfield, where he has averaged 85.6.
HAWTHORN
Left below: Liam Shiels could do with a week off. He could score 110 each week, but the need for a tagger limits his output significantly. At least he won't have to tag this weekend.
MELBOURNE
Under-performing: The Demons may be underdogs in their round 15 match-up with Adelaide and improbable victors, but something they can easily rectify is having more than six players score about 80 – which wasn't the case for the Demons in round 13.
NORTH MELBOURNE
De ja vu: If Sam Gibson is averaging close to 90 and Jarrad Waite is flirting between scoring healthily and being the exact opposite of that – which they are – 2016 suddenly feels a lot like 2013.
PORT ADELAIDE
Frustration: If Travis Boak ever wants to be a fantasy guy, he'll average 95 for the rest of the season. He's eclipsed 100 just once this year, but has five scores below 80. He's better than his 82.3 UF average.
RICHMOND
Seasonal scoring: In a week where teams need all of their players to perform given approximately a third of a team's players are inactive, before Thursday night teams, a mid-80s score from someone like Alex Rance is a godsend. He had 53 last week, and will face Charlie Dixon, but some of his biggest scores have come when facing the game's best forwards.
ST KILDA
Top gun: In the likelihood that Maverick Weller is relieved of his run-with duties, which he should be after his performance on Saturday night, he'll average upwards of 90 from hereon in.
SYDNEY
Rose-y future: If James Rose produces anything above 85 this weekend against the Western Bulldogs – adding to his three round average of 89.3 – he won't average under 80 for the rest of the season.
WEST COAST
Home sweet home: A big night against Essendon may halt Mark LeCras' inconsistent scoring. It's the team which he kicked 12 goals against in 2010. The Eagles are at home too, where LeCras is accustomed to scoring more.
WESTERN BULLDOGS
Returning guns: If the Bulldogs weren't already considered the AFL's most fantasy-friendly team, they'll regain Jason Johannisen in the coming weeks which is sure to put them back into the fold. The return reaps benefits for JJ owners, as well as the scoring of Shane Biggs and Marcus Adams – if you're still holding onto him.
