THE Quandamooka Festival celebrates people, country and culture and runs from July to September in the Redlands, Moreton Bay and Brisbane.
Dreaming stories are shared from Winnam (Wynnum), Narlung (Manly), Cullen-Cullen (Wellington Point), Mulgumpin (Moreton Island), Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), Nandeebie (Cleveland), Canaipa (Russell Island), Jencoomercha (Macleay Island), Ngudooroo (Lamb Island), Coochie Mudlo Island, Turkroorar (Peel Island), Tangeera (Green Island), Noogoon (St Helena) and Bungumba (Mud Island) to deepen and understanding of the area.
The festival features cultural tours, traditional song and dance, music, art exhibitions, workshops, film nights, traditional food, markets, whale watching tours, storytelling, weaving, sand art, sporting events and speakers’ forums.
