THERE was great excited at Ormiston State School as a helicopter landed on the oval on Friday morning.
The chopper was the iconic Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter which paid the students a visit to talk about their work and surf safety.
In recognition of the service notching up its 40th anniversary in December, students stood in the shape of a number 40 as the helicopter circled overhead.
The pilot and crew told students about the work they do and answered questions.
